| Having
lived Ambleside, Cumbria for many years, Robin Scott found himself moving to Leeds to take up a new job. Missing the countryside and open
spaces he started spending his spare time collecting the vanishing natural
sounds of the British Isles as a way of trying to preserve them for future
generations.
Initially this was to be nothing
more than a bank of natural sounds, but it became obvious to Robin
that the appreciation and enjoyment of the sounds would be enhanced by
music that was sympathetic to the theme of the sound or place.
And hence 'Themes' was born.
Being a composer himself, Robin
has been able to blend his love of the natural sounds with musical pieces
that compliment and enrich the listening experience. |
